We spent WOW Day meeting incoming freshmen and introducing them to the club — what we do, what a real meeting looks like, and why it's worth showing up to. It's always a good reminder of why we do this: there's a whole new group of students out there who just haven't looked up yet. If you stopped by our table, thank you for the conversation. Incoming freshmen — mark your calendar. We'll have a table at WOW Day on August 10, reaching out to anyone curious about space, telescopes, or just looking for a club worth joining. Come find us, ask questions, and see what Westlake Astronomy Club is all about before the school year even starts.
MARCH 8, 2026
Join us at the UCLA Planetarium — stars, stories, and science, free and open to the whole club. Registration required — scan the QR code on the flyer or find the event on our Events page to save your spot.
NOVEMBER 12, 2025
This meeting's craft: torn-paper mosaic planets. Members tore and layered colored paper to build their own worlds — no scissors, just texture and color choices, from fiery reds to icy blues and purples. Simple materials, and every planet came out different.
